If you're interested in me helping your company, please e-mail me with a brief written summary regarding what's on your mind, your company's needs and what you're hoping me to accomplish during the course of my consulting assignment. Then I can evaluate if my services are a good fit to your needs and make sure we're "in sync." So I may best determine how I can help your organization attain its goals, its important that you provide me with all the vital information I need to develop a complete understanding of your objectives, rationale, any extenuating circumstances, budget, etc.

The fees for my professional services are based on a flat monthly rate, although on some occasions an hourly rate may be negotiated for a short-term consulting engagement.

An initial retainer is required at the beginning of any consulting engagement. All out-of-pocket expenses I incur while working on behalf of your organization are always billed at cost, and are included in my regular invoices which are sent to clients on a bi-weekly basis. All invoices are due upon receipt.

If working on your company's project requires business travel on my behalf, all travel time will be billed at my standard hourly rate. In the rare instances when the project requires business travel that includes weekend overnight stays, you will incur an up-charge.

Please do not ask me to consider accepting stock, stock options, performance-based pay or commission in exchange for the professional services I provide for your organization. While this was a fairly common practice for early-stage companies during the "irrational exuberance" which coincided with the Internet Bubble, taking a flyer on current income have long since passed.

I still receive inquiries regarding board positions, although the Sarbanes-Oxley Act has made accepting seats on corporate boards much more interesting to say the least. Adequate levels of D & O and E & O insurance coverage are an absolute must for board members nowadays. Sitting on a corporate board is a great deal of responsibility and I take these positions quite seriously. If your board is in search of someone with a pedigree like mine, I'd be happy to listen and learn about what you'd expect of me.

Please feel free to contact me so that I can answer any questions you may have regarding my services. I'd be happy to talk with you!
